Russian singer (tenor). He spent most of his life in Italy. Debut in 1832 (Naples, part of Percy in the opera Anna Boleyn by Donizetti. Until 1837 he sang in Paris, from 1839 in Bologna. He performed at La Scala (1843-44). Participated in the world premieres of a number of operas by D. Pacini. The greatest master of bel canto 19 c. The singer’s work was highly valued by Glinka, Rossini.
