Hungarian singer (soprano). Debut 1913 (Munich, part of Mimi). In 1913-25 she was a soloist of the Bavarian Opera, in the same years she also sang in other opera houses (La Scala, Vienna Opera, Chicago Opera), sang Zerbinetta at the premiere of the 2nd edition of the opera (1916, Vienna), Ighino at the world premiere of the opera Palestrina Pfitzner. In 1924-27 she performed at Covent Garden (parts of Zerbinetta, Gilda, Constanza in the opera Abduction from the Seraglio by Mozart, etc.). Participated in the Salzburg Festival in the 20s (great success accompanied Ifogyn in 1926, when she performed here the part of Norina in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale). Performed in 1926 at the Metropolitan Opera (part of Rosina). In 1925-32 she sang at the Berlin City Opera. She left the stage in 1932. The best achievements of the singer were the parts of Zerbinetta and “Queen of the Night”. Other roles include Tatiana, Oscar in Un ballo in maschera, Frau Flüt (Mrs Ford) in Nicolai’s The Merry Wives of Windsor. Ifogün also led pedagogical activities (among the students of Schwarzkopf).
