Debut 1988 (Houston, Mercedes party in Carmen). Her performance as Carmen in 1991 (Saint Paul, Minnesota) brought her sensational success. After that, she repeatedly sang this part on the leading stages of the world, including at Covent Garden, the Vienna Opera, the Opera-Bastille, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Metropolitan Opera (1996) and others.
