Russian State Academic Chamber Vivaldi Orchestra |

The Vivaldi Orchestra was created in 1989 by the famous violinist and teacher Svetlana Bezrodnaya. The band’s first performance took place on May 5, 1989 on the stage of the Hall of Columns. Five years later, in 1994, the Vivaldi Orchestra was awarded the title of “Academic”, and two years later its creator Svetlana Bezrodnaya was awarded the title of “People’s Artist of Russia”.

The Vivaldi Orchestra is a group that is one of a kind on the Russian stage: it consists of only the fair sex. S. Bezrodnaya does not hide the fact that both the composition and the name of the orchestra were inspired by the work of the great Antonio Vivaldi. The “Vivaldi Orchestra” is a kind of “remake” of the female orchestra created by Vivaldi at the monastery of San Pieta in Venice at the beginning of the XNUMXth century. One of the most important principles of S. Bezrodnaya’s work with the team was the system of individual lessons with orchestra members, which she developed back in the years of teaching at the Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatory, thanks to which each performer maintains a high professional level.

For nearly 27 years, the orchestra has given more than 2000 concerts, prepared more than 100 exclusive programs. The ensemble’s repertoire includes more than 1000 works of various genres, epochs and styles: from the early baroque (A. Scarlatti, A. Corelli) to the music of the XNUMXth century and contemporary authors. Among them are numerous miniatures, and such large-scale canvases as Britten’s Phaedra and Bizet-Shchedrin’s Carmen Suite, Tchaikovsky’s Remembrance of Florence and Serenade for string orchestra, Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons and his little-known works – psalms , cantatas … The experiments on the performance of the masterpieces of the opera and ballet theater in transcriptions for string orchestra turned out to be extremely successful (the ballet Don Giovanni by Gluck, The Magic Flute and Don Giovanni by Mozart, Eugene Onegin, The Queen of Spades and all Tchaikovsky’s ballets, Verdi’s La Traviata).

The concert programs of the Vivaldi Orchestra are, as a rule, theatrical, they never repeat each other, they are distinguished by the originality of the compositional structure and the careful thoughtfulness of the internal dramaturgy. Thanks to this, the orchestra of S. Bezrodnaya managed to occupy its special niche on the domestic concert stage. For many years, the orchestra’s subscriptions have taken the first positions in the sales rating, and concerts are held with constant full houses.

One of the important activities of the “Vivaldi Orchestra” was the development of a huge layer of world musical culture, often referred to as “light music”. We are talking about hits of the 1920s-1950s from the repertoire of dance orchestras of those years, operetta and jazz, urban romance and mass song. The result of the constant artistic searches of S. Bezrodnaya was the numerous programs of the Vivaldi Orchestra, which are a synthesis of classical and jazz music, opera and ballet, and the conversational genre. Among them are the musical performances “Vivaldi Tango, or the All-In Game”, “City Lights”, “Marlene. Failed Meetings”, “Moscow Nights” (on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of V.P. Solovyov-Sedoy – awarded the 50st prize at the Competition-Festival in honor of the anniversary of the great composer in Moscow), “Charlie Chaplin Circus” with the participation of artists of the Moscow Circus Y. Nikulin on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, “Greetings from the dudes of the 2003s” (a joint project with the leader of the Off Beat group Denis Mazhukov). In May 300, the orchestra took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of St. Petersburg. On the occasion of the XNUMXth anniversary of the breakthrough of the Leningrad Siege, S. Bezrodnaya and the Vivaldi Orchestra showed the musical performance Listen, Leningrad! on the stage of the Mikhailovsky Theater in St. Petersburg.

The performance, which absorbed the best of the Soviet song classics, was held on May 2, 2005 on the stage of the P. I. Tchaikovsky Concert Hall and became the premiere of the “Svetlana Bezrodnaya Theater of Music” formed the day before.

The concerts that the orchestra annually prepares for the celebration of the Old New Year and St. Valentine, April Fools “Musicians are joking.” Masters of different genres and friends of the orchestra participate in these programs: theater and film artists.

Thanks to its versatility, the widest genre range, the Vivaldi Orchestra is a welcome guest of various festivals and concert programs. The team constantly performs in the most prestigious halls of Moscow, St. Petersburg, other cities of Russia and the CIS countries. Tours a lot abroad.

S. Bezrodnaya and the Vivaldi Orchestra are indispensable participants in the largest state and government events, gala concerts in the Kremlin.

To name just a few projects. In the 2009/10 season, the orchestra presented to its numerous admirers both already familiar programs and new ones (in particular, three philharmonic concerts were dedicated to the Year of France in Russia), in the 2010/11 season the orchestra “paid a musical tribute” to the Year of Italy in Russia, and also prepared the play Gone with the Wind, which has already been shown more than once by the Kultura channel.

From the repertoire of the leading dance orchestras of the mid-twentieth century ). Outstanding contemporary artists took part in concerts and performances by Svetlana Bezrodnaya and her team. Among them are Vladimir Vasilyev, a great friend and admirer of S. Bezrodnaya’s conducting talent, who appears in her programs not only as a stage director, but also as a presenter, and the famous actor Alexander Domogarov. They, in particular, together with the Vivaldi Orchestra, honored the memory of the outstanding pianist Nikolai Petrov with a “musical offering” on November 6, 2011 in the Great Hall of the Conservatory. (Speech about the play “Masquerade without masks”.)

In the same season, in the spring, another interesting program was shown in the Great Hall of the Conservatory called “Return” (music and poetry of the “thaw era”). The final concert of the season was a memorial program dedicated to the 335th anniversary of the birth of A. Vivaldi. Together with the orchestra, laureates of international competitions, as well as talented young performers, students of the Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatory, took part in this concert.
