Son of P. A. Bulakhov. Bulakhov’s activity is connected mainly with St. Petersburg. Here in 1849 he made his debut as Sobinin. Bulakhov – the 1st performer of the part of the Prince from the opera “Mermaid” by Dargomyzhsky (1856, St. Petersburg, Theater-Circus, his wife, A. Bulakhova, sang the part of Natasha). In the same 1856, he brilliantly sang the part of Lionel in Flotov’s opera Martha (the first production on the St. Petersburg stage). In 1850-55 Bulakhov participated in the performances of the Italian troupe in St. Petersburg. He also sang in Serov’s operas, who spoke highly of the artist’s skill.
