Debut 1955 (Stockholm, Papageno part). He sang in Handel’s opera Alcina, which the theater showed on tour in Covent Garden (1960), performed in Mozart’s opera at the Glyndebourne Festival in 1962 (the part of Guglielmo in “Everybody Does It So”), at the Salzburg Festival in 1966 (the part of Count Almaviva ). From 1970 he sang in Covent Garden (Mandryka in Strauss’ Arabella, Scarpia, the title role in Verdi’s Simon Boccanegra). Since 1967 he has performed in the USA (Chicago, Belcore in Love Potion). The debut at the Metropolitan Opera took place in 1973 (part of Rigoletto). In 1988 he performed at the opening of Op. t-ra in Houston (Amonasro party). In 1992 Spanish. in Barcelona party Belcore. Among the many recordings, the rarely performed op. Verdi’s King for an Hour (Belfiore part, dir. Gardelli, Philips), Don Giovanni part (dir. Davies, Philips).
