Debut 1963 (Venice, part of Gaston in the 1st modern post. op. Verdi “Jerusalem”), in the same year he performed at La Scala (the title role in op. “Friend Fritz” Mascagni). In 1966, with the success of the Spanish. at the Vienna Opera as Rudolf, In 1967 he made his debut at Covent Garden (the part of the Duke). In the same part, he first appeared at the Metropolitan Opera (1968). On the same stage in 1976 he sang the part of Roland in Massenet’s Esclarmonde. In 1984 Spanish. to the fest. in Bregenz, the Cavaradossi party, In 1990, the Spanish. the part of Don Carlos at the fest. in Orange. In 1993 he sang the part of Cavaradossi in the Colon tr. Other parts include Faust, Alfred, Edgar in Lucia di Lammermoor. Aragal recorded almost all of his leading roles. Among the recordings of the part are Faust (dir. Lombard, Erato), Roland (dir. Boning, Decca).
