Emma Eames

American singer (soprano). Debut 1889 (Paris, title role in Romeo and Juliet by Gounod). In 1891-1901 she sang in Covent Garden (Margarita, Eva in the Nuremberg Mastersingers by Wagner, Desdemona, etc.). From 1891, she performed for a number of years at the Metropolitan Opera (parts of Donna Anna, Tosca, Santuzza in Rural Honor, Pamina, Michaela, Charlotte in Werther, Aida, etc.). Author of a book of memoirs (1927).
