Greek dilogia – repetition of what was said, from dilogeo – I say twice, I repeat
A cycle of two musical stage works, which are independent completed compositions and at the same time parts of a whole, united by a common idea and characters and the continuity of the plot. An example of a musical dilogy is the lyrical drama The Trojans by Berlioz, which consists of 2 parts – The Capture of Troy and The Trojans in Carthage.
