Rosalia Gorskaya

Debut 1913 (Kyiv). From 1915 in Petrograd (on the stage of the People’s House), in 1918-49 at the Mariinsky Theater and until 1933 at the Leningrad Maly Opera House. On this stage, for the first time in Russia, Gorskaya performed the role of Sophie in The Rosenkavalier (1928). Among the parties are the Snow Maiden, the Queen of Shemakhan, Martha, Rosina, Constanta in Mozart’s “The Abduction from the Seraglio”, Gilda and others.
