Domenico Donzelli

Debut 1809 (Naples). Participated in the world premieres of a number of operas by Rossini, including Journey to Reims (1825, Paris). The repertoire includes roles from Rossini’s operas Cinderella (Ramiro), Otello (title role), Bellini, Donizetti. Especially for him, Bellini wrote the part of Pollio in the opera Norma (1831). Until 1822 he sang in Italian theaters, later he performed in Paris, London, etc.
