Debut 1859 (Strasbourg). Soloist of the Opera Comic (1862-85). Participation in the world premieres of the operas Mignon by Thomas (1866) and Carmen by Bizet (1875) brought Galli-Marie worldwide fame, where she performed the title roles. Her performance in “Carmen” caused an enthusiastic assessment of Tchaikovsky. In addition, she sang in the premiere of Massenet’s opera Don Cesar de Bazan (1872), in the works of French composers E. Guiraud and V. Masse. She toured to Monte Carlo, Brussels, London, etc. Among the roles are also Serpina in Pergolesi’s opera The Servant-Mistress, Maddalena in Rigoletto, and others.
