Alexey Mikhailovich Bruni |

Born in 1954 in Tambov. In 1984 he graduated from the Moscow Conservatory and did postgraduate studies (class of Professor B. Belenky). Laureate of two international competitions: them. N. Paganini in Genoa (1977) and them. J. Thibaut in Paris (1984).

Possessing an extensive repertoire of over 45 concertos, the violinist has performed extensively in Russia and abroad both as a soloist and accompanied by leading symphony ensembles. He participated in music festivals in Germany, Yugoslavia, Austria, Russia, gave master classes in the USA, South Korea, Italy, Argentina, Spain, toured in more than 40 countries, was the first performer of many works by domestic and foreign composers. The diverse repertoire of the musician is represented by several CDs with recordings of solo and ensemble music by composers of various times and stylistic trends.

For a number of years, A. Bruni taught at the Moscow State Conservatory. P. I. Tchaikovsky. For several years he worked as an accompanist in the USSR State Academic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Evgeny Svetlanov.

Alexey Bruni took part in the creation of the Russian National Orchestra. Since 1990 he has been concertmaster of the Russian National Orchestra conducted by Mikhail Pletnev. Member of the RNO String Quartet.

Alexey Bruni was awarded the honorary title People’s Artist of Russia.

In his free time he writes poetry and in 1999 published his first collection. Author of the literary version of G. Ibsen’s drama “Peer Gynt”, adapted for one reader (to the music of E. Grieg, for performance with an orchestra, choir and soloists).
