Useful music apps for iPhone
There are quite a lot of applications for music lovers on the shelves of the Apple Store. But finding not just entertaining, but truly useful music applications for the iPhone is not so easy. Therefore, we want to share our findings with you.
Hug, millions!
An interesting application for lovers of the classics is offered by the TouchPress studio.– “. Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony is played down to the last note. The application allows you to follow the text in real time while listening to a high-quality recording of music. And the versions of the Ninth are truly stunning: the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Fritchai (1958) or Karajan (1962), the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra with the famous Bernstein (1979) or the Gardiner Ensemble of Historical Instruments (1992).
It’s great that you can, without taking your eyes off the “running line of music,” switch between recordings and compare the nuances of the conductor’s interpretation. You can also follow the map of the orchestra with highlighting of the playing instruments, select the full score or a simplified version of the musical text.
In addition, this iPhone music app comes with helpful commentary from musicologist David Norris, videos of famous musicians talking about the Ninth Symphony, and even scans of the composer’s handwritten score.
By the way, just recently the same guys released Liszt’s Sonata for the iPad. Here you can also enjoy brilliant music without stopping from the notes, while reading or listening to comments. In addition, you can follow the performance of pianist Stephen Hough from three angles, including simultaneously. As a bonus, there are historical information about the history of the sonata form and about the composer, a couple of dozen videos with an analysis of the Sonata.
Guess the melody
You remember about this application when you really want to know the name of the song that is playing. A couple of clicks and taaaam! – the music was recognized by Shazam! The Shazam app recognizes songs playing nearby: in a club, on the radio or on TV.
In addition, after recognizing the melody, you can buy it on iTunes and watch the clip (if available) on Youtube. As a nice addition, there is the opportunity to follow the tours of your favorite artist, access to his biography/discography, and even the opportunity to buy a ticket to an idol’s concert.
One-and-two-and-three…
“Tempo” rightfully made it to the list of “Best Music Apps for IPhone.” After all, in essence, this is a metronome necessary for any musician. It’s easy to set the desired tempo: enter the required number, choose a term from the usual Lento-Allegro, or even tap the rhythm with your fingers. “Tempo” keeps in memory a list of selected song tempos, which is very convenient, for example, for a drummer at a concert.
Among other things, the application allows you to select a time signature (there are 35 of them) and within it find the desired rhythmic pattern, such as a quarter note, triplets or sixteenth notes. This way you can set a certain rhythmic pattern for the sound of the metronome.
Well, for those who don’t like the usual wooden beat counting, there is the opportunity to choose a different “voice”, even voice. The best part is that the metronome works very accurately.
