The words of the legendary teacher, from whom pianist Sergei Tarasov studied at the Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatory, and then at the country’s main music university, are worth a lot. Indeed, Sergey Tarasov is truly a record winner, the owner of a unique “track record” of victories in major competitions that are members of the World Federation of International Music Competitions. Sergey Tarasov – Grand Prix winner and winner of the Prague Spring competitions (1988, Czechoslovakia), in Alabama (1991, USA), Sydney (1996, Australia), Hayene (1998, Spain), Porto (2001, Portugal), Andorra (2001, Andorra), Varallo Valsesia (2006, Italy), Spanish Composers Competition in Madrid (2006, Spain).

The pianist constantly gives solo concerts in Russia and abroad. He has repeatedly taken part in prestigious music festivals in Germany (Schleswig-Holstein Festival, Ruhr Festival, Rolandsek Bashmet Festival), Japan (Osaka Festival), Italy (Rimini) and others.

Sergey Tarasov’s concerts were held in the largest concert halls of the world: the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory and the Moscow International House of Music, the Great Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the Suntory Hall in Tokyo and the Festival Hall in Osaka (Japan), the Verdi Hall in Milan (Italy), Hall of the Sydney Opera House (Australia), the Mozarteum Hall in Salzburg (Austria), the Gaveau Hall in Paris (France), the Maestranza Hall in Seville (Spain) and others.

Tarasov collaborated with such world-famous teams as the State Academic Symphony Complex named after. E.F. Svetlanova, the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Moscow Philharmonic, the Russian State Symphony Orchestra of Cinematography, as well as the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
