Serge Baudo

Opera debut 1959 (Aix-en-Provence, The Magic Flute). In 1962 he performed Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande at La Scala, and since 1970 at the Metropolitan Opera (Offenbach’s Tales of Hoffmann). Founded the Berlioz Festival in Lyon (1979). Recordings include “Pelléas et Mélisande” (Eurodisc).
