Nikolai Sachenko
Laureate of international competitions Nikolai Sachenko was born in Alma-Ata in 1977. He began to play the violin at the age of six at the music school of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky with Georgy Alexandrovich Avakumov. The first teacher had a great influence on the further development of Nicholas. On his recommendation, at the age of 9, Kolya entered the Central Secondary Special Music School in the class of Zoya Isaakovna Makhtina. After leaving school, Nikolai continued his studies at the Moscow Conservatory.
In 1995, Nikolai Sachenko performed at the III International Violin Competition named after. Leopold Mozart in Augsburg (Germany), where, in addition to the title of laureate, he received the “People’s Choice Award” – a violin made by the French master Salomon in the second half of the XNUMXth century. Three years later, this violin sounded in Moscow at the XI International Competition. P. I. Tchaikovsky, who brought Nikolai Sachenko the XNUMXst prize and a gold medal. The Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun wrote: “At the violin competition named after. Tchaikovsky, an outstanding musician appeared – Nikolai Sachenko. We haven’t seen such talent in a long time.”
The concert life of the violinist began in his school years. He has performed in many cities in Russia, Japan, the USA, China, Europe and Latin America, including with renowned conductors and orchestras such as the Russian National Orchestra, the New Russia Orchestra, the Beijing National Orchestra, the Venezuelan National Orchestra, the Philharmonic of Nations ”, “Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony”.
In 2005, Nikolai Sachenko became concertmaster of the New Russia Orchestra under the direction of Yuri Bashmet. He successfully combines the position of the leader of a large orchestra with solo activities and pays much attention to chamber music: he performs as part of the Brahms Trio, as well as with such musicians as Yuri Bashmet, Gidon Kremer, Lynn Harrell, Harry Hoffman, Kirill Rodin, Vladimir Ovchinnikov, Denis Shapovalov . An unforgettable impression was made on the young musician by creative meetings with Yehudi Menuhin, Isaac Stern, Mstislav Rostropovich.
