How to make a boat and a paper boat: children’s crafts

From a very early age, children love to tinker with paper. They cut it out, fold it this way and that. And sometimes they just tear it up. To make this activity beneficial and enjoyable, teach your child to make a boat or boat.

This is a very simple craft for you, but for the baby it’s a real ship! And if you make several boats, then – a whole flotilla!

How to make a boat out of paper?

Take a landscape-size sheet.

Fold it across exactly in the middle.

Mark the center on the fold. Take the sheet by the top corner and bend it from the marked middle diagonally so that the fold lies vertically.

Do the same with the second side. You should end up with a piece with a sharp top. Fold the free bottom part of the sheet upward on both sides.

Take the workpiece from below on both sides in the middle and pull in different directions.

Smooth it with your hand to make a square like this.

Bend the bottom corners on both sides up to the very top.

Now pull the craft by these corners to the sides.

You will end up with a flat boat.

All you have to do is straighten it to give it stability.

How to make a boat out of paper?

Fold a landscape-size sheet diagonally.

Trim off the excess edge to create a square. Connect the other two opposite corners. Expand the sheet.

Connect each corner to the center.

Make sure that the workpiece does not warp.

Turn the sheet over. Fold it again, aligning the corners with the middle.

Your square has become smaller.

Turn the workpiece over again and bend the corners in the same way as the first two times.

You now have four small squares with slits on top.

Straighten two opposite squares by carefully inserting your finger into the hole and giving it a rectangular shape.

Take the inner corners of the other two opposite squares and gently pull in both directions. The two rectangles you made so far will be connected. The result was a boat.

As you can see, the boat is larger.

If you want to make a boat the same size as a boat, then make it from half a landscape sheet.

If you want to do something more challenging, try making a flower out of paper. Now, to bring endless joy to your baby, pour warm water into a basin, carefully lower the boat and boat onto its surface, and let the child imagine that he is a real captain!
