Debut 1935 (Rome). From 1938, almost until his death, he was the leading bass of the Rome Opera. He performed at Covent Garden in 1953 (parts of Ramfis in Aida, Orovez in Norma). He also sang at the Arena di Verona festival (1951-57). Among the parts of Basilio, the Grand Inquisitor in op. “Don Carlos”, Mephistopheles in the eponymous op. Boito and others. Among the recordings of the part of Sparafucile in op. “Rigoletto” (dir. Serafin, IMP), Blind in op. “Iris” Mascagni (dir. A. Cuesta, Fonitcetra).
