Felix Korobov is an Honored Artist of Russia, conductor of the Novaya Opera Theatre. Graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory in cello (1996), opera and symphony conducting (2002) and postgraduate studies in string quartet (1998).

Over the years, he worked as an accompanist of the cello group of the Yekaterinburg Maly Opera Theatre, the State Academic Symphony Choir of Russia under the direction of V. Polyansky, the first assistant accompanist of the cello group of the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia.

As a cellist, Felix Korobov gave concerts with ensembles: Russian baroque soloists, Anima-Piano-Quartet, the State Quartet. P.I. Tchaikovsky.

Since 1999, Felix Korobov has been the conductor of the Moscow Academic Musical Theater named after. K.S. Stanislavsky and Vl.I. Nemirovich-Danchenko, since 2004 – chief conductor of the theater, where he is the musical director and conductor of the operas “The Golden Cockerel” by N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov, “Eugene Onegin” by P.I. Tchaikovsky, “La Traviata” by G. Verdi, ballets “Cinderella” by S.S. Prokofiev, “The Seagull” (choreography by J. Neumeier to music by Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky, Glennie), conducts the performances “Ruslan and Lyudmila” by M. I. Glinka, “Ernani” by G. Verdi, “Tosca” by J. .Puccini, “The Bat” by I. Strauss, “Faust” by C. Gounod.

In 2000 – 2002 he worked as an assistant to the chief conductor of the State Academic Orchestra of Russia, where he prepared concert programs with the participation of Placido Domingo, Montserrat Caballe, Mstislav Rostropovich.

Felix Korobov was invited to the Moscow Novaya Opera Theater in 2003, in 2004 – 2006. – chief conductor of the theatre. Here he prepared a symphonic concert program with the participation of Yuri Temirkanov and Natalia Gutman (cello), a concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of D. D. Shostakovich, conducted concerts with the participation of Eliso Virsaladze (piano) and Jose Cura (tenor), “Cinemaphony” (to 60 anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War). Felix Korobov is the musical director and conductor of the productions of the theater “The Tsar’s Bride” by N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov and “Norma” by V. Bellini, conducts the play “Oh Mozart! Mozart…”, concert programs “Romances by P.I. Tchaikovsky and S.V. Rakhmaninov”, [email protected]

Felix Korobov has over 20 CD recordings. As a cellist and conductor, he has taken part in numerous Russian and international festivals, and is a diploma winner at the International Competition for Chamber Ensembles (Lithuania, 2002).
