Debut 1986 (San Francisco). In 1988 she sang in Verdi’s Requiem at Carnegie Hall and at Rossini’s Stabat Mater in Washington DC. She performed the part of Elektra in Mozart’s Idomeneo (1991, Helsinki). Among his creative successes is the part of Amelia in Un ballo in maschera (Chicago, 1991). She made her debut with the same role at the Metropolitan Opera (1991) and Covent Garden (1995). In 1996 she sang the role of Leonora in Verdi’s The Force of Destiny at the Metropolitan Opera. She performed at the Arena di Verona festival (1994, part of Aida). Recordings include Cassandra in Les Troyens by Berlioz (conductor Duthoit, Decca), Rezia in Weber’s Oberon (conductor Conlon, EMI).
