Debut 1794 (Pavia). Since 1796 at La Scala. In 1804 he performed in Paris. From 1811 in Naples. Nozzari is one of the best performers of Rossini’s parts during his lifetime. 1st performer of the part of Leicester (Elizabeth, Queen of England, 1815), the title part in the opera Othello (1816), the parts of Osiris in op. “Moses in Egypt” (1818), Rodrigo in op. The Lady of the Lake (1819), Antenora in Zelmira (1822) and others. He also performed in operas by Cimarosa, Maira, Mercadante, Donizetti. From 1825 on teaching work (among his students was Rubini).
