Debut 1850 in St. Petersburg in the part of Vanya, which she prepared with Glinka, who appreciated the talent of the singer. She performed at the Mariinsky Theater until 1873. Participated in the world premieres of the opera Rusalka (1856); Serov’s operas Rogneda (1865) and The Enemy Force (1871); opera “Pskovityanka” by Rimsky-Korsakov (1873), where she performed a number of secondary (but important) roles. She was an outstanding interpreter of the works of Mussorgsky, with whom she made a tour of the cities of Russia (1879). She also toured abroad. Conducted teaching activities.
