Since 1969 he has been performing at the New York City Opera. She made her debut as Musetta, in 1975 she sang the part of Marietta in Korngold’s “Dead City”, in 1977 Minnie in Puccini’s “Western Girl” (one of the best roles in Neblett’s career). Since 1979 at the Metropolitan Opera (debut as Senta in Wagner’s Flying Dutchman, among other parts Tosca, Manon Lesko, Alice Ford in Falstaff). She sang at Covent Garden, the Vienna Opera, at the Salzburg Festival in 1976 (the part of Vitellin in Mozart’s “Mercy of Titus”). Among the parties are also Louise in the opera of the same name by G. Charpentier, Turandot, Aida, Countess Almaviva and others. She toured in the USSR. Recordings include Minnie (dir. Meta, DG), Musetta (dir. Levine, Classics for Pleasure).
