Anastasia Kalagina graduated from the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory and the Academy of Young Opera Singers of the Mariinsky Theatre.

Winner of the V International Competition for Young Opera Singers named after N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov in St. Petersburg (2002), laureate of the International Vocal Competition in China (2005), winner of the special prize of the International S. Moniuszko Vocal Competition in Warsaw (2001) and awards “New Voices of Montblanc” (2008).

Since 2007 she has been a soloist with the Mariinsky Opera Company. Performs the parts: Martha (The Tsar’s Bride), Snegurochka (Snow Maiden), The Swan Princess (The Tale of Tsar Saltan), Natasha (War and Peace), Ninetta (Love for Three Oranges), Louise (“Betrothal in a Monastery”), Adina (“Love Potion”), Norina (“Don Pasquale”), Madame Cortese (“Journey to Reims”), Gilda (“Rigoletto”), Nanetta (“Falstaff”), Michaela and Frasquita (Carmen), Teresa (Benvenuto Cellini), Elijah (Idomeneo, King of Crete), Susanna, Countess (The Marriage of Figaro), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Pamina (The Magic Flute) , Birdie (“Siegfried”), Sophie (“The Rosenkavalier”), Zerbinetta and Naiad (“Ariadne auf Naxos”), Antonia (“Tales of Hoffmann”), Mélisande (“Pelleas and Mélisande”), Lolita (“Lolita”) .

In the concert repertoire of the singer – soprano parts in Bach’s Matthew Passion, Mendelssohn’s oratorio Elijah, Mahler’s Second, Fourth and Eighth Symphonies, Mozart and Fauré’s Requiems, Brahms’ German Requiem, Dvořák’s Stabat Mater, Orff’s Carmina Burana cantata , romances and songs of Russian and foreign composers.
