Lella Cuberli

American singer (soprano). She made her debut in 1975 (Budapest, part of Violetta). Since 1978 she has performed at La Scala (parts of Constanza in The Abduction from the Seraglio, Countess Almaviva, etc.). Since 1986 she has sung at the Salzburg Festival. In 1987 she sang the part of Violetta in Brussels. In 1989 she toured Moscow with La Scala (the role of Juliet in Bellini’s Capulets and Montagues). Since 1990 she has performed at the Metropolitan Opera (Matilda in the opera “William Tell”, Semiramide in the opera of the same name by Rossini). In 1994 she sang the part of Donna Anna at the Salzburg Festival, staged by Shero). A brilliant interpreter of Mozart and Rossini. Among the recordings of the role of Amenaida in Tancred by Rossini (conducted by R. Weikert, Sony), Donna Anna (conducted by Barenboim, Egato).
