Originally, and still today, the English and French word jury means trial by jury in France, England, USA and other countries. However, since all kinds of competitions, festivals, olympiads and other competitions have appeared, the word “jury” has acquired a new, variant meaning: a group of judges, authoritative specialists who choose the best of the participants in the competition. The jury usually has a chairman – the most famous representative of the art or sport in which the competition is held.
