The triumphant of the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition (2015), winner of the XNUMXst prize and the Gold Medal, Dmitry Masleev became the opening of this musical competition. The tour that followed brought him recognition from a global audience, and the international press spoke of him as a “great pianist of the future” and a “brilliant virtuoso” with “musicality of metaphysical proportions.” Masleev’s schedule includes concerts at festivals in the Ruhr, La Roque d’Anterone, Bergamo and Brescia, a gala concert at the opening of the Music Festival in Istanbul, and a concert in Basel, where he replaced the ill Maurizio Pollini.

In January 2017, Dmitry Masleev made his solo debut at Carnegie Hall (Isaac Stern Hall) with a program of works by Scarlatti, Beethoven, Liszt, Rachmaninov and Prokofiev. The debut at the Gasteig Hall in Munich was followed by two re-engagements: with Prokofiev’s piano sonatas and Beethoven’s First Concerto accompanied by the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, and then the artist’s debut with the Berlin Radio Orchestra, which was held to a full house. The pianist toured the cities of Germany with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia. Masleev’s performance at the Paris Philharmonic was followed by a recital at the Fondation Louis Vuitton museum and a tour of Asia with the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra.

Dmitry Masleev’s performance was admired at festivals in Beauvais, Rheingau, Bad Kissingen, Ruhr, Mecklenburg. Many of these concerts were broadcast on the radio and on the Medici.tv channel, increasing the number of the pianist’s fans around the world. “Virtuosity was tinged with magical tenderness. The pianist’s magnificent technique was perfectly combined with elegant restraint, amazing imagination and a rich sound palette, ”the Mittelbayerische Zeitung wrote about the pianist’s performance. Masleev also performed at the Pianoscope Festival (France) under the direction of Boris Berezovsky. In June, Boris Berezovsky and Dmitry Masleev gave a joint concert in Moscow.

This season, Dmitry performed at the Young Euro Classic festival in Berlin, made his debut at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and in the Blüthner Piano Series in London, toured South America and US cities. His concerts are held in Lebanon, South Korea, South Africa, Switzerland, Italy, and in March he returns to London and South America. Masleev plans to perform in Rolando Villason’s Stars of Tomorrow program on the German-French TV channel ARTE, as well as participate as a special guest at the Lake Constance Festival, where he will perform a number of solo, chamber, orchestral programs and give several master classes .

Dmitry Masleev was born in Ulan-Ude. He graduated from the Moscow Conservatory (class of Professor Mikhail Petukhov), then trained at the International Piano Academy on Lake Como (Italy). In addition to the Tchaikovsky Competition, where the jury awarded him the 2010st prize and a special prize for the performance of a Mozart concerto, Masleev is a laureate of the 2011th International Piano Competition Adily Aliyeva in Gaillard (France, 2013, 2st prize), the XXI International Piano Competition “Rome” (Italy, 2, Prize named after Chopin) and the International Antonio Napolitano Competition in Salerno (Italy, XNUMX, XNUMXst prize).
