Annie Konetzni |

Austrian singer (soprano). Debut in 1926 as a mezzo (Vienna, part of Adriano in Wagner’s Rienzi). From 1932 she sang at the German State Opera, from 1933 at the Vienna Opera. Of course, she has also performed at La Scala, Covent Garden and other major stages in the world. One of the singer’s best parts is Isolde, which she performed at the Salzburg Festival in 1936 with Toscanini. Other roles include Retius in Weber’s Oberon, the title role in Electra, and Leonora in Fidelio. In 1951, the singer performed with great success in Covent Garden the part of Brünnhilde in the Valkyrie, in Florence the part of Elektra. From 1954 she taught in Vienna.
