Andrei Jilihovschi
Born in 1985 in Moldova. In 2006 he graduated from the Chisinau College of Music named after. Stefan Nyagi with a degree in choir conducting. At the same time, he studied optional academic vocals in the class of V. Vikilu. In 2006 he entered the vocal faculty of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory. ON THE. Rimsky-Korsakov (department of solo singing, teacher – People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, Professor Yuri Marusin). He made his debut on the stage of the Opera and Ballet Theater of the Conservatory in the title role in the opera Eugene Onegin.
In 2010–2012, he was a soloist at the Mikhailovsky Theatre, where he performed the following roles: Belcore in L’elisir d’amore, Schonar in La bohème, Robert in Iolanthe, Prince in Asafiev’s Cinderella, Silvano in Un ballo in maschera, Baron in La Traviata by Verdi, the Officer in Halevi’s Judea, Dancairo in Carmen (concert performance).
In 2011, he performed the role of Figaro in The Barber of Seville in performances by the Latvian National Opera.
Since October 2012 he has been an artist of the Youth Opera Program of the Bolshoi Theater (artistic director – Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Dmitry Vdovin). In 2013, he participated in a joint project of the Youth Opera Program of the Bolshoi Theater and the Paris Opera Competition “Young Voices of Moscow and Paris”: concerts took place at the Imperial Theater in Compiègne (France) and at the Bolshoi Theater. In December 2013, he made his debut at the Bolshoi Theatre, performing the part of Marcel in G. Puccini’s opera La bohème, then he sang the part of Falk in I. Strauss’ operetta Die Fledermaus.
Also in his repertoire on the Bolshoi stage are the Flemish Deputy in Don Carlos, the Baritone in the play Tune in to the Opera, Guglielmo in Cosi fan tutte (That’s what all women do), the Lamplighter in The Story of Kai and Gerda, Count Almaviva in The Marriage of Figaro, Dancairo in Carmen, Robert in Iolanthe and the title role in Eugene Onegin.
He performed at the Mariinsky Theater at the anniversary of Irina Bogacheva. He took part in a concert performance of the opera “Eugene Onegin” in Arkhangelsk. In February 2014, at the festival as part of the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, he performed the part of Onegin in the opera of the same name with the New Russia orchestra conducted by Yuri Bashmet.
Since the beginning of the 2014/15 season, he has been a full-time soloist with the Bolshoi Opera Company. In October 2014, he took part in the II International Festival “Music of Light”, in which famous artists perform together with professional musicians and visually impaired singers. In the final concert – the musical and literary composition “Dear Friend” with the participation of actors Alla Demidova and Danila Kozlovsky – the II International Festival of Vocal Music “Opera a priori”, dedicated to the 175th anniversary of P. I. Tchaikovsky (June, 2015), performed arias and duets from the operas The Enchantress, The Maid of Orleans, Mazeppa and Eugene Onegin, together with the RNO, conducted by Alexander Sladkovsky.
The 2015/16 season opened with a performance at the 2016th International Festival “Kazan Autumn” together with the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan and Alexander Sladkovsky in the festive concert Operetta Gala in front of an audience of five thousand at the walls of the Kazan Kremlin and sang the part of Belcore in “Love Potion” at the Chisinau State Opera. In the same season (March XNUMX) Andrey will make his debut at the National Opera of Paris in Dmitry Chernyakov’s new production of Iolanthe.
The singer plans to debut at the Municipal Theater of Santiago de Chile and at the Glydebourne Opera Festival.
