4. Миди-клавиатура. По сути – это музыкальная мышка для вашего компьютера. Она позволяет управлять виртуальными клавишными на компьютере.

Цифровые пианино – это отдельная тема для разговора. Игра на них практически полностью имитирует игру на обычном фортепиано.

На какие технические характеристики стоит обратить внимание при покупке?

1. Polyphonic capabilities or the maximum number of sounds sounding together (up to 64). This is fine with most modern instruments, but you should definitely check for this function if you choose a children’s or toy synthesizer (children love such toys). On them, the ability to play multiple sounds simultaneously may be limited. In principle, such models probably no longer exist, but it is necessary to check this.
2. Наличие функции автоаккомпанемента то есть инструмент сам проигрывает заданную партию сопровождения. Функция очень интересная и всем нравится, проверять её нужно на дешёвых и детских синтезаторах.
3. Number of auto accompaniment styles (disco, Latin, rock, etc.). Usually the description indicates a specific number (for example, 234). But, as a rule, this indicator does not mean anything. Styles are often programmed poorly – and the music in their design can sound disgusting. It’s better to ask the consultant to demonstrate several styles (about 10 of them) and evaluate them primitively – whether you like it or not.
4. Количество голосовых эффектов и тембров музыкальных инструментов. Широкий выбор интересных звучаний гораздо расширят возможности вашего исполнительства. Снова, нужно отметить, что количество не тождественно качеству. Нужно поиграть несколькими тембрам и если они звучат как-то неестественно (например, тембр скрипки подчёркнуто резкий или тембр гитары слишком размытый), то лучше такой синтезатор не брать.
5. Keyboard characteristics: number of keys, their sensitivity (the higher, the better the pressing speed) and degree of hardness. There are static and dynamic keyboards – the difference between them is serious, but it all depends on your preferences. For a complete beginner, it is better to take an instrument with a static keyboard (on them, the sound volume does not depend on how hard you press the keys). On some synthesizers, it is possible to switch keyboard functions (that is, both options are possible). But what you should always pay attention to is the weight of the key, its shape and size. The larger and heavier the keys, the better (but also the more expensive the instrument). The best option is if the weight and shape of the keys are the same as those of acoustic pianos and grand pianos.

When buying cheap keys, you may not only end up with low-quality plastic, but the distorted sound of such instruments can ruin your hearing, not to mention your mood.

It is also worth considering the prices of midi keyboards. As a rule, the price for them is quite high: the simplest ones from 150 USD, good midi keys cost the same as a good synthesizer.
