Debut 1963 at the Welsh National op. (Ismael in Verdi’s Nabucco). Since 1967 in Covent Garden (Beppo in Pagliacci, Fenton in Falstaff, Elvino in La Sonnambula, etc.). From 1967 he sang in the USA (San Francisco, part of Tamino). At the Metropolitan Opera since 1971 (parts of Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, Tamino, Faust, Alfred, etc.). Among the parties are also Faust, Lensky, Rudolf, Ernesto in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale. Among the performances of recent years, the part of Basilio in Le nozze di Figaro (1991, Aix-en-Provence). From many recordings, you can highlight the title part in op. Titus’ Mercy by Mozart (dir. Davies, Philips), Lensky part (LD, dir. Solti, Decca).
