Vladimir Moroz
Vladimir Moroz graduated from the Minsk Academy of Music in 1999 (class of Professor A. Generalov). In 1997–1999 – soloist of the National Belarusian Opera (Minsk), on the stage of which he made his debut as Eugene Onegin in the opera of the same name by Tchaikovsky. In 2000 he took part in the International Competition of Opera Singers Operaliaestablished by Placido Domingo. B 1999–2004 Soloist of the Academy of Young Singers of the Mariinsky Theatre. Since 2005 he has been a member of the Mariinsky Opera Company.
Laureate of the International Competition. N.V. Lysenko (I prize, 1997), laureate of the International Competition for Young Opera Singers. ON THE. Rimsky-Korsakov in St. Petersburg (I prize, 2000), laureate of the International Competition named after. S. Moniuszko in Warsaw (Grand Prix, 2004).
Vladimir Moroz has performed with the Mariinsky Theater Company at many famous opera houses around the world, including the role of Andrei Bolkonsky in War and Peace at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden (2000), at La Scala (2000), at the Real Madrid (2001) and NHK Hall in Tokyo (2003); the part of Rodrigo (Don Carlos) on the stage of Covent Garden (2001); the part of Eugene Onegin (Eugene Onegin) on the stages of the Chatelet Theater (2003), the Metropolitan Opera (2003), the Deutsche Opera Berlin (2003), NHK Hall in Tokyo (2003) and the Kennedy Center in Washington (2004); Yeletsky (The Queen of Spades) at the festivals in Lucerne (2000) and Salzburg (2000, together with Placido Domingo as Hermann). Vladimir Moroz also toured with the theater troupe to Israel, Switzerland, the USA and China.
Vladimir Moroz actively performs as a guest soloist. In 2002, at the Washington Opera, he sang the part of Marseille (La bohème), and in 2005, the part of Dunois (Maid of Orleans; together with Mirella Freni as Joan of Arc). In addition, he performed as Dunois (The Maid of Orleans, 2007) on the stage of Carnegie Hall; the roles of Robert (Iolanthe, 2005) on the stage of the Welsh National Opera and in the Albert Hall; as Silvio (Pagliacci, 2004) and Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor, with Edita Gruberova as Lucia, 2005 and 2007) at the Vienna State Opera; the part of Silvio (Pagliacci, together with José Cura as Canio) at the Rijeka Opera House (Croatia).
