Vasily Ladyuk graduated with honors from the Moscow Choir School. A.V. Sveshnikova (1997) Academy of Choral Art. V.S.Popov (vocal and conductor-choral departments, 2001), as well as postgraduate studies at the Academy (class of Professor D.Vdovin, 2004). He improved his vocal technique and mastered the basics of opera art at master classes of specialists from the theaters of La Scala, the Metropolitan Opera, and the Houston Grand Opera (2002-2005).

Since 2003, Vasily Ladyuk has been a soloist with the Novaya Opera Theatre, and since 2007 he has been a guest soloist with the Bolshoi Theater of Russia.

In 2005, he successfully took part in a number of international competitions and was awarded the Grand Prix and the Audience Award at the Francisco Viñas Competition in Barcelona (Spain); first prize at the XIII international competition “Operalia” in Madrid (Spain), held under the auspices of P. Domingo; Grand Prix at the international vocal competition in Shizuoko (Japan).

Debut performances at the Brussels Opera House La Monnaie (Shchelkalov in Boris Godunov) and at the Liceu in Barcelona (Prince Yamadori in Madama Butterfly) marked the beginning of Vasily Ladyuk’s rapid international career, which very quickly brought him to the first opera stages of the world: Andrey Bolkonsky and Silvio at the Metropolitan Opera, Onegin and Yeletsky at the Bolshoi. The northern capital did not stand aside: the Mariinsky and Mikhailovsky theaters offered the singer for the debut of the part of Onegin and Belcore, and this was followed by invitations to Tokyo and Paris, Turin and Pittsburgh. Having started his journey in the West in 2006, already in 2009 Ladyuk successfully performed at the opera Mecca – Milan’s La Scala as Onegin – and the famous Venetian theater La Fenice as Georges Germont, earning high praise from the demanding Italian public and strict critics.

The repertoire of the opera singer includes: M.P. Mussorgsky “Boris Godunov” (Shchelkalov), P.I. Tchaikovsky “Eugene Onegin” (Onegin), “The Queen of Spades” (Prince Yeletsky), “Iolanta” (Robert), S.S. .Prokofiev “War and Peace” (Prince Andrei Bolkonsky, J. Bizet “Pearl Seekers” (Zurga), W.A. Mozart “The Magic Flute” (Papageno), G. Verdi “La Traviata” (Germont), R. Leoncavallo ” Pagliacci” (Silvio), G. Donizetti “Love Potion” (Sergeant Belcore), G. Rossini “The Barber of Seville” (Figaro), baritone parts in the cantata “Carmina Burana” by C. Orff and in S. Rachmaninov’s cantatas “Spring” and “The Bells”.
