Debut 1960 on the small stage of La Scala. After working in a number of t-dov America (Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo) returns to Europe. He sang at the Vienna Opera, in Rome. In 1970 he sang on the Glide. fest. (part of Don Narciso in op. “The Turk in Italy” by Rossini), at the fest. in Edinburgh. Since 1974 in Covent Garden (debut as Ernesto in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale). Among the best parties are Almaviva, Lindor in Rossini’s Italian Girl in Algiers, Elvino in La Sonnambula, Nadir in Bizet’s The Pearl Seekers, Werther and others. In 1975 he participated in the Italian. premiere of an unfinished op. Weber’s “Three Pintos” in Turin (Don Gaston). Use in 1995 the part of Basilio in Le nozze di Figaro (Genoa). Among the recordings of the part of Almaviva (dir. Varviso, Decca), Truffaldino in op. “Love for Three Oranges” by Prokofiev (conductor Haitink, video, Castle Vision).
