Ildar Abdrazakov
Ildar Abdrazakov was born in Ufa and received his musical education at the Ufa State Institute of Arts (class of Professor M.G. Murtazina). After graduation, he was invited to the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre.
In 1998, Ildar Abdrazakov made his debut at the Mariinsky Theater as Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro), and in 2000 he was accepted into the Mariinsky Theater troupe.

In the 2009-2010 season Ildar Abdrazakov performed at the Metropolitan Opera in the play “The Condemnation of Faust” (directed by Robert Lepage) and in a new production of the opera “Attila” directed by Riccardo Muti. Other achievements of the season include a performance of the part of Figaro in Washington, a recital at La Scala and a number of performances with the Vienna Philharmonic and Riccardo Muti in Salzburg.
The singer’s discography includes recordings of Rossini’s unpublished arias (conducted by Riccardo Muti, Decca), Cherubini’s Mass (Orchestra Bavarian radio conducted by Riccardo Muti, EMI Classics), Michelangelo Sonnets by Shostakovich (with the BBC и Chandos), as well as a recording of Rossini’s Moses and the Pharaoh (Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala, conducted by Riccardo Muti).
