Debut 1888 (Grand Opera, Margarita). From 1891 at La Scala, where her debut in Massenet’s Sid (Jimena) was a great success. The skill of Darkle was highly appreciated by Verdi, Puccini, Leoncavallo and other composers. Darkle is the first performer of the part of Tosca, on her advice the composer wrote the famous aria from 1 acts. Art lives.
