Andrey Pisarev was born in Rostov-on-Don. In 1982 he graduated from the Musical College at the Moscow Conservatory (class of B. A. Shatskes). In 1987 he graduated with honors from the Moscow Conservatory (class of S. L. Dorensky). In 1989, he completed his postgraduate traineeship. Since 1992 – an assistant in the class of Professor S. L. Dorensky.
After winning the competition S. V. Rachmaninov in 1983, the active concert activity of the pianist began in the cities of the USSR, and later abroad. Evaluating the performance of the pianist at the competition. Rachmaninov, L. N. Vlasenko pointed out:
“Pisarev is a pianist who is prone to playing on a large scale, to wide formations, sometimes in the al fresco style. Its potential, in my opinion, is very great and has not yet been fully revealed. He is sometimes constrained in an artistic sense. We look forward to following its development.”
Pisarev has performed with such well-known orchestras as: the Russian National Orchestra, the Leningrad Philharmonic Orchestra, the Radio and Television Orchestra of Milan, the Japanese Philharmonic Orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestras of the cities of Petrozavodsk, Voronezh, Minsk, Belgrade, Basel, Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Malmö, Oulu, Rostov-on-Don and others, collaborated with such conductors as V. Verbitsky, V. Dudarova, P. Yadykh, O. Soldatov, L. Nikolaev, A. Chistyakov, S. Kogan, A. Boreyko, N. Alekseev.
“I have a special relationship with Mozart, he is a very dear composer to me”, – Andrey Pisarev admitted in an interview.
Indeed, fantasies, sonatas, rondos are often performed by a pianist who is truly an outstanding interpreter of the music of the Viennese classic. And it was Mozart who brought Pisarev a brilliant victory in 1991 at the International Competition. V.A. Mozart in Salzburg (Austria), where the first prize has not been awarded to anyone since 1956.
After winning the competition Mozart Pisarev regularly performs abroad: Austria, Germany, Italy, Yugoslavia, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, USA, Brazil, Japan, Costa Rica, Spain, Ireland, South Africa, South Korea, Poland, Bulgaria.
Repeatedly took part in festivals dedicated to the work of S. V. Rachmaninov (Rostov-on-Don, Tambov, Kharkov, Veliky Novgorod) and in musical drawing rooms organized by the People’s Artist of the USSR I. K. Arkhipova.
The musician performs as a chamber performer with K. Rodin, P. Nersesyan, A. Bruni, V. Igolinsky and others. In 1999, Andrey Pisarev was awarded the Moscow Prize in the field of literature and art for his active concert activity and solo programs in recent years.
The pianist has recorded many CDs with music by W. A. Mozart, L. van Beethoven, F. Chopin, F. Liszt, E. Grieg, S. Rachmaninoff, D. Shostakovich, N. Myaskovsky.
