The bright personality of this young Hungarian violinist, his virtuosity and deep musicality attracted attention in many countries of the world.

The musician was born in 1979 in Budapest. Christophe spent his childhood in Venezuela, where he performed for the first time at the age of 8 with the Maracaibo Symphony Orchestra. Returning to his homeland, he received a professional education at the F. Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, and then trained in Paris with Professor Eduard Wulfson, who introduced the young artist to the traditions of the Russian violin school. Over the past years, Christoph has taken part in master classes organized by E. Wulfson as a visiting professor.

Christophe Baraty has achieved success in famous performing competitions. He is the winner of the International Violin Competition in Gorizia (Italy, 1995), the winner of the second Grand Prix of the Competition. M. Long and J. Thibaut in Paris (1996), laureate of the III Prize and Special Prize of the Competition. Queen Elizabeth in Brussels (1997).

Already in his youth, K. Barati performed in concert halls in Venezuela, France, Hungary and Japan, and over the past few years, the geography of his tour has expanded significantly: France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, the USA, Australia …

Christophe Barati performed at the opening of the V. Spivakov Festival in Colmar (2001) and at the opening of the competition. Szigeti in Budapest (2002). At the invitation of the French Senate, he played at the final concert of the Raphael exhibition from the Luxembourg Museum; took part in a number of gala concerts in Paris with the National Orchestra of France conducted by Kurt Masur (2003). In 2004 he made a successful tour with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra conducted by Marcello Viotti, and also gave concerts in France, Italy and the USA. In 2005 he made his debut at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw with the Dutch Radio Symphony Orchestra led by Roger Apple, and a year later he made his first appearance in Germany with the Deutsche Symphony Orchestra Berlin.

The Russian debut of the musician took place in January 2008 in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. In June 2008, the violinist performed in the same hall as part of the festival “Elba – the musical island of Europe” with the ensemble “Moscow Soloists” led by Yu. Bashmet.
