Anna Nechaeva was born in Saratov. In 1996 she graduated from the Poltava Musical College named after N. V. Lysenko (class of L. G. Lukyanova). She continued her studies at the Saratov State Conservatory (vocal class of M. S. Yareshko). From the second year she combined her studies with work in the Philharmonic. She performed the part of Tatiana in the opera Eugene Onegin by P. Tchaikovsky at the St. Petersburg Conservatory.

Since 2003, Anna has been a soloist with the St. Petersburg Opera, where her repertoire included leading roles in the operas Eugene Onegin by P. Tchaikovsky, Madama Butterfly, Gianni Schicchi and Sister Angelica by G. Puccini, La Traviata” by G. Verdi, “The Desecration of Lucretia” by B. Britten.

In 2008–2011, Anna was a soloist at the Mikhailovsky Theatre, where she performed the parts of Nedda in Pagliacci by R. Leoncavallo, Tatiana in Eugene Onegin, Mermaid in the opera of the same name by A. Dvorak, and Rachel in The Jewess by J. Halevi. In 2014, she performed the part of Manon (Manon Lescaut by G. Puccini) at this theater.

Since 2012 she has been a soloist with the Bolshoi Theatre, where she made her debut as Nastasya in Tchaikovsky’s The Enchantress. Performs the parts: Iolanta (Iolanta by P. Tchaikovsky), Yaroslavna (Prince Igor by A. Borodin), Donna Anna (The Stone Guest by A. Dargomyzhsky), Violetta and Elizaveta (La Traviata and Don Carlos by G. Verdi), Liu (“Turandot” by G. Puccini), Michaela (“Carmen” by G. Bizet) and others.

In the Moscow Academic Musical Theater named after K. S. Stanislavsky and Vl. I. Nemirovich-Danchenko, the singer took part in productions of the operas The Queen of Spades by P. Tchaikovsky (part of Lisa), Tannhäuser by R. Wagner (Elizabeth) and Aida by G. Verdi (the title part). She has also collaborated with the Latvian National Opera (the part of Leonora in Il trovatore by G. Verdi) and the La Monnaie Theater in Brussels (the part of Francesca da Rimini in the opera of the same name and Zemfira in the opera Aleko by S. Rachmaninov).
