Bruce Ford
Born in Lubbock, Texas. He studied at the Technical University, attended an opera studio. Here he made his debut in 1981 as Abbe (Adrienne Lecouvreur). In 1983, the singer moved to Europe. Performs in German theaters (Wuppertal, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hannover, etc.). Gradually, leading theaters in Europe begin to invite him. He sings at festivals in Pesaro (practically, regularly), Wexford, Aix-en-Provence, Salzburg, etc. Ford is considered one of the leading contemporary specialists in the Mozart and Rossini repertoire, he also sings in operas by Donizetti, Bellini, loves little-known repertoire (works Meyerbeer, Mayr, etc.). Among his best roles are Almaviva in The Barber of Seville, which he sang on the world’s leading stages (Vienna Opera House, Covent Garden, Los Angeles), Ferrando in “Everyone Does It So” (Salzburg Festival, Covent Garden, “La Scala”, “Grand Opera”), Lindor in “Italian in Algiers” and many others.
