Sergei Kuznetsov was born in 1978 into a family of musicians. From the age of six he studied in the class of Valentina Aristova at the Gnessin ten-year school. He graduated from the Moscow Conservatory and did postgraduate studies in the class of Professor Mikhail Voskresensky, and also did postgraduate studies at the Vienna University of Music in the class of Professor Oleg Mayzenberg. Since 2006 Sergey Kuznetsov has been teaching at the Moscow Conservatory.

Laureate of international piano competitions AMA Calabria in Italy (1999st prize, 2000), in Andorra (2003rd prize, 2005), Gyoza Anda in Switzerland (2006nd prize and public prize, XNUMX), in Cleveland (XNUMXnd prize, XNUMX), in Hamamatsu (II prize, XNUMX).

The geography of the pianist’s performances includes the cities of Austria, Brazil, Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, Moldova, the Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, the USA, Turkey, France, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Japan. In the 2014-15 season, the pianist will have a solo concert at New York’s Carnegie Hall. According to the results of the competitive audition, organized by the concert organization New York Concert Artists & Associates to support and promote young talents, Sergey Kuznetsov became the winner and received the right to make his debut in the famous New York hall.

The musician plays with such well-known orchestras as the Tchaikovsky Grand Symphony Orchestra, the Birmingham Symphony, the Stuttgart Philharmonic, the Berlin and Munich Symphony Orchestras, the F. Liszt Chamber Orchestra, the St. Petersburg and Moscow Philharmonic Symphony Orchestras, the State Orchestra of Russia named after E F. Svetlanova, the Ural Symphony Orchestra and with other ensembles conducted by such conductors as Nikolai Alekseev, Maxim Vengerov, Walter Weller, Theodor Gushlbauer, Volker Schmidt-Gertenbach, Misha Damev, Dmitry Liss, Gustav Mak, Gintaras Rinkevičius, Janos Furst, Georg Schmöhe and others.

Sergey Kuznetsov has participated in many international festivals: in Kyoto and Yokohama (Japan), Cyprus, Merano (Italy), Lockenhaus (Austria), Zurich and Lucerne (Switzerland), Lake Constance Festival (Germany), “Musical Olympus” and others music forums.

His speeches were broadcast on radio and television in Switzerland, France, Czech Republic, USA, Serbia, Russia. Currently, the pianist has recorded two solo discs with works by Brahms, Liszt, Schumann and Scriabin (Classical Records), as well as an album in duet with Japanese violinist Ryoko Yano (Pan Classics).

In 2015, Sergey Kuznetsov made his debut at New York’s Carnegie Hall as a result of an international selection held by the New York concert artists society.
