Reginald Goodall (Reginald Goodall) |

1st performer of Britten’s Peter Grimes (1945, Sadler’s Wells). From 1946 he performed at Covent Garden. An interpreter of Wagner, among the most famous productions are The Nuremberg Mastersingers (1968, Sadler’s Wells), Parsifal (1971, Covent Garden), Der Ring des Nibelungen (1973, English National Opera). Recordings include “Siegfried”, “Parsifal” (both EMI).
