Peter Dvorsky
Debut 1972 (Bratislava, part of Lensky). Since 1976 at the Vienna Opera (debut as the Italian tenor in the Rosenkavalier). Since 1977 at the Metropolitan Opera (debut as Alfred). In 1978 he performed for the first time at La Scala (Rudolf), in 1979 at Covent Garden. Participated in the festival “Arena di Verona” (1981-82), toured at the Bolshoi Theater (1985, the part of Yenik in the opera “The Bartered Bride” by Smetana). Among the performances of the last years of the role of Richard in Un ballo in maschera (1994, Buenos Aires), Radames (1996, Vienna Opera). The repertoire also includes the parts of the Duke, Pinkerton, De Grieux in Manon Lescaut, Edgar in Lucia di Lammermoor. Among the recordings of the part of Albert Gregor and Števa in the operas The Makropulos Affair, Jenufa by Janáček (both conducted by Makkeras, Decca) and others.
