Debut 1921 (Piacenza, Margherita part). She sang at La Scala in 1924-31. She performed the part of Liu in the historical premiere of Puccini’s Turandot (1926) directed by Toscanini. She also sang the part of Mimi with him. She toured South America with great success (1924-26). The repertoire includes the part of Elsa in Lohengrin, the title roles in the operas Manon, Gluck’s Orpheus and Eurydice, and others. Since 1934, he has been teaching.
