Margherita Carosio |

Italian singer (soprano). Debut 1926 (Novi Ligure, part of Lucia). In 1928 she performed the part of Musetta at Covent Garden. From 1929 she sang regularly at La Scala (debut as Oscar in Un ballo in maschera). She successfully performed on the leading stages of the world. In 1939 she performed the part of Rosina at the Salzburg Festival. Participated in world premieres of a number of operas by Mascagni, Menotti, Wolf-Ferrari. Among the parties are also Violetta, Gilda, Adina in “Love Potion” and others.
