Eva Randova

Debut 1962 (Ostrava). Since 1971 she sang in Stuttgart (parts of Amneris, Santuzza in Rural Honor, Azucena). Since 1977 in Covent Garden (debut as Ortrud in Lohengrin). Since 1973, she has often performed at the Bayreuth Festival, including singing the part of Frikki in the production of Der Ring des Nibelungen (dir. Shero). She performed a number of roles in Janacek’s operas at Covent Garden (1986, the part of the Church Watchman in Enufa; 1994, Kabanikha in Katya Kabanova). Among the recordings of Kundry’s part in Parsifal (conductor Stein, Philips), Church Watchman (conductor Makkeras, Decca), etc.
