Italian singer (bass). Debut in 1985 (Bergamo). Since 1989 at La Scala (debut as Pietro in Verdi’s Simon Boccanegra). In the same year, he toured Moscow with the theater (the part of Timur in Turandot). In 1991 he sang the part of Raymond in Lucia di Lammermoor (Munich), the same part he sang in 1993 at the Vienna Opera. He performed at the festival in the Arena di Verona in 1992 (Collen in La Boheme), 1994 (Orovez in Norma). In 1996 he sang the part of Zacharias in Nabucco at La Scala. He performed the role of Ramfis in Aida (Metropolitan Opera). Among the recordings is the party of Pietro (dir. Solti, Decca) and others.
