Antonino Siragusa was born in Messina, Sicily. He began to study vocals at the Arcangelo Corelli Academy of Music under the guidance of Antonio Bevacqua. After winning the prestigious Giuseppe di Stefano international competition for young opera singers in Trapani in 1996, Siragusa made his debut as Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) at the theater in Lecce and as Nemorino (Love Potion) in Pistoia. These roles were the beginning of a successful international career as a singer. In subsequent years, he appeared in productions of the most famous opera houses in the world, performing at La Scala in Milan, the New York Metropolitan Opera, the Vienna State Opera, the Berlin State Opera, the Royal Theater in Madrid, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, the New National Theater Japan, participated in the performances of the Rossini International Opera Festival in Pesaro.

Antonino Siragusa collaborated with such famous conductors as Valery Gergiev, Riccardo Muti, Daniele Gatti, Maurizio Benini, Alberto Zedda, Roberto Abbado, Bruno Campanella, Donato Renzetti. A few years ago, the singer made a successful debut on the stage of the Paris National Opera, where he sang in the production of The Barber of Seville. He also made his debut as Argirio in Rossini’s Tancred at the Teatro Regio in Turin and sang Ramiro in Cinderella at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and at the Champs Elysées in Paris.

Syragusa is recognized worldwide as one of the best Rossini tenors. He performed his crowning role – the part of Count Almaviva in The Barber of Seville – on the most prestigious stages of the world, such as the Vienna, Hamburg, Bavarian State Operas, the Philadelphia Opera, the Netherlands Opera in Amsterdam, the Bologna Opera House, the Massimo Theater in Palermo and others.

Over the past few seasons, the singer has taken part in productions such as Falstaff at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, L’elisir d’amore in Detroit, Rossini’s operas Othello, Journey to Reims, The Newspaper, A Strange Case. , The Silk Staircase, Elizabeth of England as part of the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, Don Giovanni conducted by Riccardo Muti at La Scala, Gianni Schicchi, La Sonnambula and The Barber of Seville at the Vienna State Opera. In the 2014/2015 season, Siragusa performed as Nemorino (Love Potion), Ramiro (Cinderella) and Count Almaviva (The Barber of Seville) at the Vienna State Opera, Tonio (The Regiment’s Daughter) and Ernesto (Don Pasquale”) at Barcelona’s Liceu Theatre, Narcissa (“The Turk in Italy”) at the Bavarian State Opera. The 2015/2016 season was marked by performances in Valencia (oratorio “Penitent David” by Mozart), Turin and Bergamo (Rossini’s Stabat Mater), Lyon (part of Ilo in the opera “Zelmira”), Bilbao (Elvino, “La Sonnambula”), Turin (Ramiro, ” Cinderella”), at the Liceu Theater in Barcelona (Tybalt, “Capulets and Montecchi”). At the Vienna State Opera, he performed the roles of Ramiro (Cinderella) and Count Almaviva.

The singer’s discography includes recordings of operas by Donizetti, Rossini, Paisiello, Stabat Mater and Rossini’s “Little Solemn Mass” and others, released by the famous record labels Opera Rara, RCA, Naxos.

Antonino Siragusa twice took part in the Grand RNO Festival, taking part in concert performances of Rossini’s operas: in 2010 he performed as Prince Ramiro (Cinderella, conductor Mikhail Pletnev), in 2014 he performed the part of Argirio (Tankred, conductor Alberto Zedda).
