In the future, this role became one of the most successful works of the singer, as the press wrote: “Anna Kiknadze’s Carmen appeared earthly, in love with life, unaware of imminent death. Evidence of this was the intoxicatingly bewitching timbre of her rich, possessing unique properties of mezzo-soprano. Anna Kiknadze is absolutely organic in this role” (SPb Vedomosti edition).
